S. Scott Sutton, PharmD, BCPS (AQ ID), is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences at the South Carolina College of Pharmacy (SCCP). He received his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of South Carolina and completed a clinical pharmacy residency in medicine and infectious diseases at the W.J.B. Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. He teaches in Pharmacotherapy, Pharmacokinetics, Clinical Applications, Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy, and Clinical Research. His practice site is at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the areas of infectious diseases and clinical research. He has received numerous Teacher and Researcher of the Year awards from the University of South Carolina and has served as sports medicine pharmacist for the Department of Athletics. Additionally, he teaches a live NAPLEX® Review course and has taught thousands of students in this course. He is an avid golfer, guitarist, and Gamecock Fan. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three-year-old son.
