Assignment Instructions

This activity requires the student to first complete the StrengthsFinders 2.0 Assessment individually either by purchasing the assessment themselves or using an assessment code provided by course instructors.1 Students then define their Top 5 CliftonStrengths, reflect on their CliftonStrengths with a friend or family member, and define leadership within the Leadership Prelab Activity worksheet prior to coming to class. The worksheet is designed to be completed individually and leads students through a self-assessment of their leadership strengths and tendencies.

In class, the worksheet is discussed with a partner to ascertain how their leadership qualities may be observed by others.

Facilitator

After activity completion, facilitators may discuss results of activity with students to build upon self-assessment and reflect upon results. This can be accomplished through one-on-one discussion or group facilitation.
