AB  - The  purpose  of  this  textbook  is  to  inform  and  not  to  advise.  In  case  of  being  confronted  with  a  legal  issue,  it  is  important  that  the  reader  consult  an  attorney  familiar  with  the  applicable  statutes,  regulations,  and  case  law  pertaining  to  the  jurisdiction.  The  textbook  was  prepared  and  is  organized  to  provide  the  reader  with  case  law  involving  tort  issues  that  are  applicable  to  pharmacy-related  situations.  While  the  different  tort  law  areas  are  discussed,  it  is  important  for  the  reader  to  recognize  that  each  case  presented  represents  a  specific  jurisdiction  and  decisions  may  have  different  outcomes  in  other  jurisdictions.  Thus,  the  main  intent  of  this  textbook  is  to  provide  the  reader  with  an  understanding  of  the  different  tort  areas  of  law  and  how  a  specific  tort  principle  is  applied  to  the  facts  of  a  case.
