Other IM include those caused by infection, eosinophilic myositis and granulomatous myositis. Of note, inflammatory cell infiltrates can also be occasionally seen in muscle biopsies in hereditary (e.g., muscular dystrophies, metabolic myopathies) and toxic myopathies.
