AB An  attack  employing  nuclear  or  radiation-related  devices  is  an  increasing  threat  in  the  twenty-first  century.  A  nuclear  attack  would  certainly  have  potential  to  cause  unique  and  devastating  medical  and  psychological  effects  which  would  require  prompt  action  by  members  of  the  medical  field.  This  chapter  will  outline  the  most  probable  scenarios  for  attack  involving  radiation,  as  well  as  the  medical  principles  for  handling  such  threats.
