AB In  the  endocrine  pancreas,  the  islets  of  Langerhans  contain  at  least  4  types  of  endocrine  cells,  including  A  (alpha,  glucagon  producing),  B  (beta,  insulin,  and  amylin  producing),  D  (delta,  somatostatin  producing),  and  F  (pancreatic  polypeptide  producing).  Of  these,  the  B  (insulin-producing)  cells  are  the  most  numerous.
